The Shrewsbury Ark is an independent charity devoted to helping homeless and vulnerable people in our community, guiding them toward a path of positive change and transformation.
About The Shrewsbury Ark
The Shrewsbury Ark is a charity that supports people who experience homelessness and are vulnerable. Each client has a support worker who helps develop a personal plan to achieve individual aspirations.
We provide:
Housing, employment and benefits advice
Washing and laundry facilities
Hot meals
Essential kit
A postal address and WiFi
Emotional support and mental health nursing care
We offer a variety of clinics and services via our many partners:
Medical, mental health nursing and Dental Clinics
Shropshire Council's Rough Sleepers and RESET teams
Counselling and Food Bank
Addiction Recovery and the local Police
We take the time to understand each client’s unique story and work to develop a tailored plan that helps each individual achieve a brighter future.
Everything we do to support vulnerable people in our community is funded through public generosity and some grant funding. There is never a charge for our services.

Make a donation via our page on the Charities Aid Foundation. Click here to make a regular or one-off donation online now. (If you Gift Aid your donation we receive tax benefits and this ensures your donation goes further.)
Shop online through the Give as you Live shopping website. Through this portal, retailers agree to give a percentage of your purchase to us, at NO cost to you. More information and sign-up details here.
Make a purchase or donate pre-loved items at our fabulous Ark shop at 14 Castle Street, Shrewsbury.
