About Shropshire Mental Health Support
Our Vision
We believe that everyone deserves the right to live equally alongside others and to enjoy a high quality of life. We are committed to ensuring that those who use our services are treated with respect and justice, and have equal access to support.
Our aim is to empower individuals to actively participate in their communities and in their own recovery journeys. We collaborate closely with our clients to uphold their right to make choices. Additionally, we strive to alleviate the challenges of debilitation, alienation, stigma, and social isolation that vulnerable individuals face, particularly in rural areas.
At Shropshire Mental Health Support, we provide a 24-hour support telephone service. We also offer a variety of groups at our Shrewsbury center, including a Women’s Group, Men’s Group, Crafty Afty, and Walking Groups. Our Calmer Café, designed specifically for those struggling with mental health, provides a safe space for conversation and support. This service is available by appointment on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM.
